Orlando was born in 1979 in San Jose. Both of his parents came from Mexico with little money, so the rented a very small room that was more like a storage room. There was hardly room to put a bed and a dresser and that was it. His dad worked two jobs just to make sure there was enough money for his new family. Orlando was always hungry and his dad would take a little milk home to feed him because milk was expensive. When he turned 5, they were able to rent a home because his parents both got jobs at the cannery in Gilroy. Because there wasn’t much money for necessities, toys weren’t an option so they bought Orlando clay. He would make his own toys. His uncle also had a Nintendo which they would play. He liked to play with the kids in the neighborhood. Orlando because fascinated with drawing and cartoons.

Orlando graduated from Gilroy High School in 1998. Soon after that, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona to go to school. He attended the High Tech Institute and obtained an associates degree in Auto-CAD Drafting. While he was there he met some funny, interesting people. He hadn’t planned on leaving, but his dad needed him back in Gilroy and he had to come back to help out, so he packed up and came back. He got a job at Apria Healthcare for a year then went back to school at Gavilan College to go for an AA in Art with hopes of going to an animation school. In 2005 he got a job working for MACSA as a program specialist. He’s still working on his degree and hopes to transfer with his AA to an animation school around 2010.
